FosAgro has announced the completion of construction and start-up work on ammonium sulfate production at Apatite (part of FosAgro). Installation with a capacity of 300,000. tons of ammonium sulfate per year has become one of the largest in the world in terms of installed single capacity.
Ammonium sulfate, or ammonium salt sulphuric acid, is an important component for the production of NPK- and NPKS fertilizers, which are very popular on the world market and in Russia. The main raw materials for production are ammonia and sulphuric acid.
Andrey Guryev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of FosAgro, noted the significance of the event: “We announced the completion of the production of ammonium sulfate. The first product was received. The production of absolutely pure ammonium sulfate is in line with FosAgro’s strategy to produce products that meet the highest world standards.”
