U.S. company Gulf Coast Ammonia announced the decision to finance the project to build an ammonia plant in Texas: the money will be provided by Starwood Energy Group Global and Mabanaft, which are owners Gulf Coast Ammonia.
The capacity of the plant will be about 1.3 million. tons of ammonia per year. Its construction should begin in the coming months, and be completed in the first half of 2023. Gulf Coast Ammonia has already signed contracts to supply raw materials for it.
“The new venture will help meet the demand for nitrogen fertilizers from agriculture, thereby helping to feed the world’s growing population,” commented Ken Koy, CEO of Gulf Coast Ammonia.
